Renaissance Flat Cap

I'm finally going to the Ren Faire this coming weekend! I decided a while ago to make a hat to match this outfit: [link] I feel like the outfit still needs something more... but I haven't decided for sure what that is yet, so I started with the hat. I found a tutorial for a flat cap here: [link]

The first draft was wayyy too big. It fit my head, but it was just so much hat! It looked ridiculous. So I tore the seams out and cut it down. I think this size is much more reasonable. I added two pheasant feathers for accent.

Hopefully you can get an idea what it looks like from these photos. It's hard to figure out the best way to photograph a hat that's flat. (and please ignore my derpy face )
